Sports Scholarships and Grants

The Tyler Fairley Foundation is a nonprofit Geogia corporation organized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt private foundation. Based in Douglasville, the Foundation was organized to support high school athletes' higher education by creating annual college scholarships for qualified students. The Foundation is also committed to awarding annual grants to local high school and middle school athletes to assist with athletic fees.

Named for the late beloved Tyler J. Fairley, the Tyler Fairley Foundation at inception was given a mission inspired by Tyler's love for sports, particularly football, and his genuine concern for others wellbeing. The Foundation is established primarily to provide college scholarships and grants for underserved children. Each scholarship and grant will be conditioned upon merit and need. The scholarships and grants are titled "TYLER 55" in honor of his retired football jersey number 55.

The Foundation was also created by Tyler J. Fairley's family to preserve the legacy of their beloved son, brother and grandson. On August 1, 2021, Tyler transitioned unexpectedly at the tender age of seventeen. He would have entered his senior year of high school and had a bright future ahead of him with a full scholarship to play college football. Tyler was well respected by his principal, coaches, teammates and fellow students.
